Why should I remember?

Remember who you are! Welcome to my blog space. I hope you enjoy reading this much as I enjoyed writing it.

We live in a new generation where people easily forget who they are and where they came from.

We tend to blame this on social media mostly.

Nothing wrong with finding blame but it’s also important to consciously remind yourself of who you are and where you came from.

Remembrance definitely cause you to think twice before making a move which can destroy your life or a life of someone else.

When we remember, we find our self thinking more about the decision in which we are about to take, we don’t rush into making our decisions.

Remembrance also helps us to learn from our mistakes in the past.

I personally believe that a conscious and focused mind defines the outcome of the decisions we take and how successful the outcome will be.

As a child of God, not forgetting where you are coming from it’s very important.

Psalm 106:4

Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor toward Your people; Visit me with Your salvation.

One of the things we are suppose to remember on a daily basis is our salvation, the sacrifice in which Jesus Christ took for our sake.

Focusing and reminding yourself of this, surly helps you to take the right decisions.

Remembrance can also help us treat everyone around us with love and affection, it can also help us to forgive easily.

Psalm 25:7

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.

In the verse above, it clearly shows that if you have love and kindness, it helps us to forgive.

It’s by remembering the love you have for someone that can lead you into letting go of any negativity you have towards the person.

It also shows that when we are young we tend to make the most mistakes in our life. Is therefore imperative not to be so hard on your self but constantly reminding yourself of the love that God has for you through remembering the actions he took on the cross.

At the end of the day it all comes down to remembrance.

When you remember it can sober you in a good way.

It shows you how far you have come and how God has changed your life, you therefore start to treat people and your self differently.
